Company Description
Beautiful Savior is committed to maintaining a friendly, home-like atmosphere. Our caring, attentive staff gets to know each resident and respects his or her independence and dignity. Many have been with us for 10 to 20 years - allowing residents to build meaningful relationship with their caregivers. Our community offers Assisted Living, Short-Term Rehabilitation, and Long-Term Care.
Our Vision: To provide a place where seniors can live independently from their families, maintain their dignity, and live a fulfilling enriched life filled with activities and amenities to enhance their daily living while receiving elderly care as needed.
Our History: The founder, Mary Anderson became an active participant of this group in 1952. She was relentless in her efforts to convince the Lutheran Church of the need for a Missouri senior care home such as she envisioned Beautiful Savior to be. She worked tirelessly along with others in an effort to make the dream become a reality...and on her birthday in 1978, it finally did. April 2nd was the official dedication day at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home, a very special time for those who were so committed to bringing this idea to life.
For the next 22 years, Mary was the administrator of Beautiful Savior; but due to health reasons, she stepped down from her role in April of 2000. After her retirement, Mary continued to work at Beautiful Savior for a number of years, even as she battled cancer. She eventually became a resident herself in January of 2008, up until her passing on May 26, 2008. Mary will always be remembered as the guiding light who helped this beautiful place come to be.
Today, Mary's daughter, Brenda Buford, proudly carries on her mother's legacy with active involvement serving Beautiful Savior as the Administrator. Her niece, Jennifer Harvey whom always looked up to her aunt has dedicated herself as well, to ensure her Aunt Mary's mission, vision, values, and dream stay alive as the Director of Nursing. As Mary's life passion continues, we have grown to house a 126-bed skilled senior care center and a 50-bed assisted living center with a wide range of services that provide area seniors the comfortable and rewarding life they deserve.
