A Day in the Life as an Inventory Manager:
Parking Lot Operations:
Manage day-to-day operations of the commercial vehicle dealership parking lots, including coordinating parking assignments, ensuring proper traffic flow, maximizing parking capacity, initiating delivery inspections, managing check-in/check-out processes, and ensuring organization and security of key storage.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with parking needs, and addressing any parking-related concerns or inquiries.
Safety and Security:
Enforce parking rules and regulations to ensure the safety and security of all vehicles and people in the parking/storage lots.
Monitor the lots for any suspicious activities and promptly report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authorities.
Maintenance and Cleanliness:
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the parking lot, including regular trash removal, sweeping, and ensuring clear signage for parking instructions.
Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any repairs or maintenance needs.
Staff Supervision:
Oversee parking porters and ensure they are trained on parking procedures, customer service, and safety protocols.
Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Inventory Management:
Keep track of available parking spaces and maintain accurate records of parked vehicles, including details such as license plate numbers, make, and model.
Coordinate with sales and service departments to ensure efficient use of parking space.
Parking Lot Improvements:
Identify opportunities for improving parking lot operations.
Make recommendations for enhancements, such as implementing technology solutions, optimizing traffic flow, or improving signage.
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on parking lot occupancy and inventory.
Provide insights and recommendations to management based on the data analysis.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in facilities management or a customer service role.
CDL license.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of parking lot operations, including traffic flow management, safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in using parking management systems and basic computer applications.
Physical ability to walk, stand, and perform light manual tasks for extended periods.
Ability to build strong long-term relationships with customers.
Strong organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
Friendly and professional demeanor.
Attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Education:
Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED.
